What to Expect

Everyone is unique and has different needs of what they want captured during their customized portrait session.  That is why my creative fee includes a Pre Session Consultation.  Your consultation can either be done in person at my home studio over a nice cup of coffee or over the phone if necessary.  During the consult, we will discuss various aspects of your upcoming session.  From the type of session you are interested in, whether it’s capturing your child’s personality or creating those precious family memories, to what to wear and the best time to conduct your session.  This also gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and gives insight on your child’s personality in order to be prepared to get the best results on your session day.  The Pre Session Consultation allows me to tailor your session to your individual needs and is an important part of the process in creating heirloom artwork for your home.

At the beginning of the session, we will take a few minutes to review what was discussed during the Pre Session Consultation.  This time will also allow me a chance to talk with the children and help build our relationship. Sessions are conducted in a relaxed, friendly and professional manner.  And, more importantly, are fun and engaging for your child!  Sessions last approximately one hour, but extra time is alloted if needed.

You will be contacted one to two weeks after your session to come to the studio for your Private Post Session Viewing.  Here we will design your portrait package.  You will be asked to do a little “homework” before your viewing.  Please come prepared with a list of portraits required for the home, office, gifts, etc. and any measurements of the walls where you plan to display your personalized artwork.  Custom framing is another service offered, so please feel free to bring some quick snapshots of the areas you plan to hang your portraits in order to help co ordinate framing styles and options.
